LAME? SAD? SICK? ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Sidewinders no longer exists. After Covid restrictions were lifted the most recent owners opened a bar called S4200 at 4200 Central Ave. SE. When it first opened it was a cute cafe that served alcoholic drinks with your food order. A while later they opened the Black Cat Cabaret for drag shows. Then they let you order alcohol without food. Then they hung a poster for The Eagle and claimed they have a leather bar even though they have only their one main bar and occasionally have performances for the young ALT crowd. If you're in your 20's, 30's and like deafening music you'll probably like S4200. If you think inclusiveness is social fascism, call me and I'll join you for a drink at a biker bar.

After being a regular for many years, the move to the new location saw a decline in service & attitude. The owners have no clue how to serve the community or run a restaurant/bar. The waitstaff runs the gamut from inattentive to incompetent to downright rude. The food required to remain open during the pandemic is overpriced & completely wrong as bar food. There is no focus on the business or facilities. The neglect also goes into the training & monitoring of employees. Several members of the unpaid staff are frequently high or drunk. (They are considered “independent contractors” to work for tips only…) I will definitely be going elsewhere! They do not value their customers, despite how loyal they’ve been through the years…they are treated as a funding source for other endeavors. Until these attitudes change or new owners take over, they are doomed to fail miserably by disappointing the community they claim to serve…

pathetic!!!!!!!

Took a $15 Uber to get to this bar, arrived at 11:25pm, there were 5 or 6 cars outside. I walk up while someone inside is "trying" to sing their heart out to Whitney Houston, (or a couple of cats where screwing) and the doors were locked! I walked all around the building trying to figure out if I had the wrong entrance, I called at the extremely rude person that answered the phone said they are closed. There was know one there. Meanwhile it's like a pathetic karaoke competition inside STILL! ITS LISTED OPEN UNTIL 2 AM MON-SAT!!!! Don't waste your time or money at this place. They can't stay open to the hours THEY LIST, its BULLSH*T!!! Plus in a dangerous part of town.

Something for everyone.

A great place to meet new friends and have a good time. Drag shows, pool tournaments, dance nights, hot gogos, themed nights are common too. Love this place!

This place features drag shows, at times, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays. Otherwise the crowd is somewhat sparse. Atmosphere lacks .. cold in the winter too. If you're Caucasian, you might want to avoid the male bartenders who seem to pour drinks with NO ALCOHOL in them at all. Try the girls bartenders instead. Cheers :)
