What we say

Serving up grandmother's traditional New Mexico recipes
Since 1962, El Pinto has hung its reputation on grandmother Josephine Chavez-Griggs' green and red chile recipes that embody the hot and spicy flavors that New Mexico is famous for.

***** Great food and ambiance

El Pinto is located in ABQ's North Valley near Sandia Pueblo (and not far from their casino/hotel). It serves typical New Mexican food, based on green and red chile. The setting is wonderful, it's like you're in a big estate, and if the weather is nice, definitely sit outside under the large old cottonwoods - the prices are reasonable and the food is very good and the location is wonderful - a little drive into the country. They also sell world-famous salsa made fresh on the premises.
