The story: Sometimes those play-within-a-play shows get confusing, but this one’s focus is not blurred – unless it’s by tears. As the audience watches a few actors goofing around on the (real) stage preparing for their (fake) show offstage, we begin to realize life is not all fun and games. Their choreographer reveals he as AIDS, and the six actors react with sympathy and understanding, telling their own tales of how the disease touched their lives. Firmly based in 1985, Fallen Guardian Angels takes us on a journey to the beginning of AIDS and the emotional impact it had at the start of the pandemic.
