No longer a lesbian bar, now a multi-use rental venue
Some time during the summer of 2012 Exhale mutated into Evolution, a multi-use venue for anyone who could pay the rental fee, gay or otherwise. The space has potential which the owners never exploited when it was a gay bar. Evolution is as poorly promoted as Exhale was so many events I would have attended came and went unnoticed. At least it's easy to get to and has a reasonable amount of parking available so it's worth a visit to see what the venue has grown up to be.
NICE STAFF SEEMS SLOW
THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY, THE FEW TIMES I'VE BEEN IT ALWAYS SEEMS SOOOOOO SLOW…. I LIKE A BIT A CROWD BUT DON'T NEED TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF A SLEW OF PEOPLE BUT THE NICE STAFF DOES MAKE UP FOR IT :P
Stylish lesbian dance club? Not!
'Albuquerque's Stylish lesbian dance club' is far from Stylish. Setting stylish and classy standards is something you won't find there. The Dance floor is small, the drinks are average. Once you can get a cocktail servers to wait on you, or you choose to stand in a long line at the bar pushing your way to the counter because the bartender is randomly taking orders from any one who catches their attention first; having little regard for customer service, time or satisfaction. The atmosphere is never consistent except for the outdated dance or over played music by some (not all) DJ's, or even worse, the music that is played is themed by the DJ having no variation of music selection regardless of song request by patrons- even when the song request is backed by monetary consideration. The owner seems to have no problem with poor service from employees and lacks concern for those patrons loosing overall faith in the establishment which has rarely evolved with times and caters to a select few. Perhaps this has happened because of the limited choices Albuquerque has had for GBLT entertainment, as a result there was no reason for change or improvement by Exhale.......that is until other bar/clubs became attractive to the GBLT community and created pressure for Exhale to be competitive and creative. I just hope Exhale has more than a household fan cooling the 'chic tunnel' because it certainty does not cool the 'throbbing dance floor'. I was a loyal and dedicated patron of Exhale since it open for business as Exhale, however it has become impossible to over look the club's standards..
Our hang out - Not anymore
All of our friends went there to dance, meet people and have a good time. Not happening anymore. Requested music is denied, so there is hardly dancing. I don't know it has changed and sorry to say - not for the better. None of us go there anymore. We all tryed calling to see if we could find out what happened. And no one called us back. At least 6 of us called. OH WELL
No customer service
Exhale's owner does not acknowledge her patrons. Totally ignores them. If a customer has a request it is ignored. And no sense in leaving a message asking questions. All of my friends have called and left messages. NO RESPONSE! Soooooo we have ALL stopped going there., Gone DOWN HILL!!!!!
