Outdoor Activities right by the Rio Grande

Tingley Beach & Rio Line Rail Road are part of the Albuquerque BioPark. PROS: Tingley Beach has several man-made ponds for fishing (one for kids), and a pond for RC boats. It has the Rio Line miniature rail-road that connect you to the Zoo, Tingley Beach and the Botanic Gardens/Aquarium. There are hiking trails right along the edge of the Rio Grande River. There is also a gift shop and a cafe. CONS: It's kind of small (but, the rail road is fun).
